    Hi,

Could you please help me to id the producer of the antique candle holder.
In addition to the hallmark on the picture it has stamped inscription "Germany"
    on a side.

    Thanks in advance,
    Paul

    Hi Paul! Welcome to Antiquers!

Unfortunately I can't help, but others will be along who perhaps can.

    Thank you!

I saw candle holders on the internet with similar filigree ornament dated to end of 19th century.

I would say that that dating seems reasonable. It is a beautiful piece.

In the future please use "full image" for your photos so they appear in the text. Also helpful would have been a photo of the "Germany" stamp and a full shot of the base including the feet, etc.

    Looks well made.

Thanks again. I am attaching two pictures of "Germany" stamp.
At first I was thinking it is older because of some "gothic" elements,
but then I realized that it is definitely reconstruction of "gothic" style.
    It was acquired on eBay.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

That's a difficult mark, partly because it appears to be poorly struck. I hope somebody can help you.

Thank you very much, I think that is definitely the same hallmark.

I was just despairing of how to find a maker of non-precious metal goods in Germany, so was very pleased to see this very close match. The description of the company and its goods also bodes well, given how nicely made the candleholder is!
