    Hello all.

I've bought some years ago this little pencil drawing.
The frame measures 13x14 cm while drawing 6x7 cm.
I've made many researches on internet but I didn't find any info.
I would ask you to help me to find info about age , nationality
and maybe an artist , even if this will be quite difficult.
Thank you in advance for any suggestion.

    Thank you!
I've used an external link because the photos were too big to upload.

You’re Welcome, Most people won’t click links. You can resize by emailing photos to yourself as Medium.

    So it’s not signed?

No , the drawing isn't signed.
For this reason I think it will be difficult to
    discover the author.

Angelo, your photograph is out of focus. Could you post a better quality image? At a glance, the framing would lead one to believe it's a little decorative piece and not an original sketch. Is the frame wood? Can the work be removed? A lot of that type of gilded wood ware was produced in Florence in the 1960s-ish but your frame looks a bit earlier in the 20th century.

The frame is painted wood , the work in rear is fixed with nails and so I think it's difficult to remove frame without doing damages.
I'll try to do better photos and resizing before the upload.
The only thing I can add it's that the drawing is in pencil and it isn't a print for sure.
Thank you for help , Debora.

Not much. Still not clear enough to tell era of clothing.

Unfortunately there is the glass and internally there is a bit of humidity.
This is what I can do.
Anyway I agree with you that maybe the frame has been made this century because in the rear the cover is fixed with 2 nails and 3 paper clips.
The drawing instead I think it was older.
    Thank you.

Just in terms of the scene: Those top hats and coats, that little ‘sun umbrella’ thing and carriage looks like some photos from the 1850’s-1860’s.’ French.

Maybe the frame is dated 19th century while the drawing is french school middle 1800?
    It could be possible ?
    Let me know.
Thank you Debora and thank you Boland.

I find it a little odd. That small figure (child) on the horse makes it more ‘interesting’ to me.. The scale between the dog, child and horse looks weird to me.

I’m wondering if it’s cut from a larger scene, as the dog isn’t fitting in the frame and no signature.

Sorry I have no idea when this was done or even if it is an original. All Iam saying is what the scene itself reminds me of.

It could be "cut" by a larger drawing ? This could also explain the absence of signature.

Maybe. Good point about the dog

That's an unusual looking carriage. Unusual too that the driver is mounted rather than on a perch.
