Don, is there a difference between the bumps in this vase and the bumps in hobnail pieces?

Thanks, seems that it is popcorn by Boston & Sandwich. Not many pieces can by find on google.
Hobnail are more round, aren't they. These are pointy.

when is a hobnail not a bead and vice versa? recognized hobnail patterns are general more distinctly spaced and the beads are of uniform size and spacing. But also generally the bead/hobnail motifs names may be interchanged. So the smaller varying sized motif here is more often referred to as beads; but IMHO hobnail would also be acceptable. the hobnail/bead motif can vary from flatter disc to pointed beads or round semispherical beads.

This loooks like an ear of popcorn with the spacing for the kernals. Also the eliptical flat ear is a give away.
