Thanks Marote- I wonder how one finds the actual specific Italian company marks/signatures, it's the only way to get more 'Sold For' comps.

Still missing our Italian pottery expert, Walter del Pelligrino. He would have known this right away!

Is Walter's website still available? Some members here may have Walter's book. You know that the decoration is sgraffito. Italian writing is terrible in these objects!

If you’re on Facebook, ask on the Bitossi group, they’ll know.

Could it be Bitossi Ceramic, your cup shares a similar signature style, clay body and color pallet.

Thanks OBB & Desert- The signature is very similar to Bitossi. I'm always on the hunt for Bitossi ( love their colors !). Their motifs I usually see are more geometric w/ vibrant contrasting colors. But they had more designers and artists than just Londi.
    PS-I'll keep looking !

It could be Bitossi, I wasn’t sure the Italy looked quite like Ztaly enough. But they’ll know for sure.

@Ownedbybear do you have any idea what the numbers mean on the base of Italian Ceramics ? It always seems to be there-obviously code.
PS-I'll head to some Bitossi sites, surfed for about an hour yesterday and nothing-but then a lot of pots have been thrown in Italy in the last 80 odd years.

I think from looking at other signatures the first character is possibly the letter A there is also a 7H in the code both may be associated with Aldo Lodni.

Also the angle of the letters epically the y but all of them among all the examples have strong similarities but are signed quickly with a liner brush on something odd shaped and obviously at different time periods accounting for inconsistencies?

The foot ring, clay and colors down to the glaze application are all consistent with the examples I’m finding too.

Not sure how much this made a difference but I switched my VPN to Italy doing my searches.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

There's also an Italian Pottery Forum on Tapatalk. https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/italianpotterymarks/

Walter was a major contributor there, but it also looks like it's still going, with recent posts. You have to make an account to post there. I did that after Walter passed away, because I was trying to reach his wife to share the Antiquers' condolences. (Or I think that's why...)

[Edit: I looked at the forum, and actually recent posts are few. So not sure it would be the best place to post a new message. But you could look at old ones, answered by Walter.]

There is still a Del Pellegrino website, https://www.delpellegrino.com/
I assume run by his wife now.

Thanks Figgy for the help on this mystery grail. I saw your condolences to Mrs. Pellegrino when Walter passed.
For a Forum to stay as vibrant and responsive for as long as this one has seems a rarity these days, short attention spans and the new crop of vagabond pickers grabbing everything and anything for a buck.
Lot's of passionless buyers these days 'pumpin' and dumpin' merch hand over fist- why not just start buying container loads of Uggs ?
    PS-Or whatever's hot this second.
