That is the worst Royal Worcester backstamp I have ever seen, none of the spelling makes sense ... could it be a clumsy copy? ... Joy.

How odd. It's certainly the Evesham pattern but the back stamp is awful.

    Hi,
The pattern is Evesham but with the gold trim it is referred to as Royal Evesham. I have been buying it for my in-laws for years. It is a "doozy" of a label.

Nothing even resembling the Royal Worcester stamp, the marks under it look foreign, even the Made in England is mis-spelled and sloppy. I don't believe that Royal Worcester would EVER put something like that on the market ... Joy.

The odder thing is that the decoration looks decent quality.

Found same mark on same covered dish on Etsy. I think the mark is fine. It says “fireproof” and that might have some bearing on the mark and date it, too. 72B6EBE5-5CB5-4CAC-889E-6ABC7470638D.jpeg

That mark looks better than the OP's which is dreadful. Your pic is blurry and hard to read but from what I can see it is lined up nicely and appears to be spelled correctly .. Joy.

I think that regarding the sloppy backstamps some folks have got a hold of some factory rejects (rejected for even the slightest error) and proceeded to apply a sloppy stamp that they hope will pass muster .. that's my take on it anyway ... Joy.

interesting I didn't know that it exists this procedure to copy and apply back how they do it and then I would like to know which is their gain to work with it since the moment that we are speaking of a piece of modest value even if original Royal Worcester??

Like I said .. that is MY take on it. All I know is that your item is NOT marked properly for a genuine Royal Worcester. Do as you wish with it ... Joy.

??? I don't get you of course I know that it's your point of view and I accept and respect it, I just asked you if you know how they do it and which could be their gain to work over it, it's not a Meissen... just to understand ... Thanks

I have no knowledge of HOW they do it .. or for that matter WHY !!! MY impression is that your item is not Royal Worcester or else is a factory reject. You asked for "impressions" and I gave mine .. if you don't agree that is fine with me, I think you just want to argue the point and I'm wasting my time. Joy.
