Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Sorry I can't help on your vase! But WELCOME Joe! As a suggestion, when you upload your images, you'll see the first thumbnail says "full size images?" or something like that....click that also and it will make them ALL of them full size....many here would rather not click on a bunch of small ones!!! Hang in there.....the pottery brains should be along shortly!!!!

What is the size of your vase? Measurements please.

There was a pottery company that made these horizontal seams. It's right on the tip of my tongue. Ugh! It's been so many years since I researched this, I can't get it to rattle out of my brain!

I had a two part constructed vase with a narrow neck, so I didn't see what the seam looked like from the inside, which is so easy to see in your pot.

Brush-McCoy did vases with this horizontal seam and this could be one of theirs. You usually see it in their Art Vellum and onyx glaze pieces. I am not sure about a match to this glaze and, as above, exact measurements will help.

Here is an Art Vellum vase with the seam. Looks like it could be a pretty close match.

Got a chance to get home and take a look at my Brush-McCoy book and can't find a match to this. Their vase like this is 6". They do have an 8" vase but it has a more pronounced shoulder than this. They do have a similar matte green glaze so I suppose it is possible that they just don't have this 8" vase pictured/listed in the book.

@verybrad - Do you have any Monmouth - Western Stoneware books? Searching around the internet turns up marked art ware and stoneware jugs with the horizontal seams. Also Macomb Illinois stoneware with horizontal seams.

I do not. My second thought on this was Monmouth but could not verify. I did some other searching around but could come up with no other leads.
