I picked up this bull looking pottery statue today at my local thrift. I was wondering its origin? I thought Mexico but not sure. It has a opening like a cork or something went into it. Maybe like a decanter? It 20210727_141735.jpg 's probably not old but for 3.00 I bought it anyway. Thank you for any info!

Mexican folk art I think. It looks like you can fill him up with liquid on the back.
Is there a spout hole in his mouth?
