Help identify Art Deco ceiling lamp

Hallo Everyone,

Could someone please help identify the maker of this art deco ceiling lamp? It was in the Waldorf-Astoria in New York in the bathroom. Unfortunately the hotel could also not help.

I doubt you will find the maker.
There are too many lamp companies, both here and in Europe.

Do you have any provenance that it came from the Waldorf?

It could be 1930s or it could be later 1950s.

Bigger than a breadbox?

 

ummmm.....how large is a breadbox ???

 

Breadbox accommodates one standard loaf of Wonderbread with 1/2 inch clearance on 4 sides and top. I thought everybody knew that!

 

I'm not everybody........

& I've never eaten a bread that I have to wonder about....

 

Perhaps you were loafing when that was discussed in school?

 

Perhaps he only managed a few crumbs.
