Help identify metal horse, please TYIA

Hi guys,

I have not been able to find anything like him. I am probably searching the wrong terms. I am helping a friend and she knows nothing about it. It is very heavy but I do not think it is solid. He is about 12 1/2" tall. Not sure with his patina/color what the metal content could be. Any help on age, origin and anything else is much appreciated. I was thinking he was the trojan horse...

I think it is meant to be a Chinese warrior and horse on a stand.
I also think yours might be brass rather than bronze as shown below.
Is yours filled with some sort of plaster? If so it might be pot metal that has been brass or bronze plated.
