Hi and WELCOME @SharonStarke! Well, it certainly has a Medieval look to it and it looks heavy, and only you can answer those questions along with the questions above!!! I'm betting shipping & handling would be a "Bear" for you....maybe an auction close to you to sell??? Can you please answer the questions above, so we can try to help you better? The more information we have, the better we can help!!! Thank you so much!!:happy:

It has really old design elements about it, but I'd bet on it being 1960s or something similar. There was a fad in the USA for "Spanish Bordello" design back then. It would help the furniture gurus if they could see the inside and the drawer sides.

    Agree.
Facebook Marketplace is the most popular way to sell furniture in my suburban area.

    Also agree. :)

If at all possible, could you show the bottom of the feet too?

It does have a Spanish look, and I'm fine with the second half of the 20th century, with that stained wood. Could even be later than the 1960s, I still saw these in the 1980s, and they're probably still being made in Spain.
Can't see bordello though, more like a traditional Spanish country style.
I swear, I know nothing about bordellos in rural Spain.:angelic:

That's the name Americans use for late 60s Spanish-style furniture that's heavy and dark. Probably not historically accurate.

Here in the US a lot of this heavy crudely decorated furniture was coming from Mexico in the late 20th century. Called colonial style, fashioned after the furniture made for the Spanish occupiers of Central and South America.

    For general educational purposes only...

They're called puticlubs and you can always spot them at a distance off the highway by their neon signage.

I can't speak to their interior furnishings but...

The OPs chest is a a style that would be called rústico (or "rustic") in Spain which is generally called Spanish Colonial in the U.S. And yes, pieces are still being made in Spain and México. This chest looks more Spanish to my eye. Something about the wood, proportion and carving.

While I can see Spanish for this, something about it says fairy recent import from India to me.
