    Continuing from my last post, here is the 2nd Chinese scroll. This one being larger at total height 71” X 29” W. Beautifully detailed and showing some age as there is foxing throughout. Hoping to find out the story and artist if possible. Maybe even dated as the last one was. There is also script logographics on the outside when rolled up that might provide some info

    @gckimm

    ‘thank you all for any input or experience shared.

    After examining my post, one might consider photo 5 looks like a print pattern. Here is a magnified look. So it’s not even papar, It’s material. Any idea what type? Does cloth fox faster or slower then paper, just wandering around here.:)

    The artist is Wu Yunchen and it appears to be a copy of this antique silk painting entitled "Anchored at night at Maple Bridge": https://tw.bid.yahoo.com/item/101601324288. The Taiwanese auction website does not mention the dates of the artist and I cannot find anything else about him, but it does say that the scroll being auctioned is an antique. I am not qualified to tell you if the scroll you have is an original, but the signatures are a little different. If it is a true antique and it is not older than a couple of centuries, the year would be 1920 or 1860.

    My jaw just hit the floor…first and foremost I want to thank you for your knowledge and time, and let’s not forget your search skills above all, thank you. As stated in my post it is hand painted on silk, from what I can see. There are extremely very little differences throughout and the red stamps are an exact match. When you gave the title “Anchored at night at Maple Bridge’ i’m assuming translation’s can vary Is it possibly this poem “Maple Bridge Night Mooring”, is the same poem I find on this page match the calligraphy in my scroll?

    I don’t seem to find anything on Wu Yunchen either but don’t believe someone would make a copy of a relatively unknown artist work. Thinking he made several *shrugs*

    Will continue to look for more,
    you’re the best…..

    I have notice that the one sold on line was simpler in some detail.
