Help Identifying a "Totem"

Hello all. I've had this piece in my family for over 50 years. I'm curious where it may have originated. My family received it as a gift from a relative who did not know the origin.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance. Totem.JPG

Others may be able to identify it; all I can say is that it is not a NW Coast Native "totem."

I am familiar with many ethnographic styles, but I don't recognize this as any particular traditional form.
