1920s-30s historical revival style. Very loosely based on William and Mary style with other elements thrown in. Wood looks like walnut but kind of hard to tell from these pics. If in the US, this is probably American in origin. Dimensions would help to determine if this is a parlor or dining chair.

Is it 24" wide at the seat or at the arms? If at the seat, it is a bit large for a dining chair. If at the arms, I think it could go either way. It is kind of at an in-between size so hard to tell.

Ok, thanks anyway. Can you give any assessment...how much is it worth?

Value really is dependent on where you are and your selling venue. Here in podunk Midwest, it would sell for less than $25.00 at auction and under $75.00 at retail. In a big city in CA, you might get $300.00 or more for it at retail. I am sure there are places where the value is somewhere in between. That green upholstery is not going to appeal to everyone so might also be a factor in selling. It is an interesting chair and there should be a buyer out there somewhere.

Edit: Just realized that the upholstery is ripped. The above values were based on good salable condition. In this condition, I would take what you can get. Not many people want to do work these days. This might end up on a burn pile in this condition here where I live. At best, it might bring $5.00 at auction here as a candidate for a dealer who thinks they will re-do it. You might do slightly better in other locations.
