Help Identifying Artist

Hi All,

We recently inherited two faily large oil paintings (board not canvas) and hoping someone can help us identify the artist.

Been in my fathers family for at least 60 years and we believe they are around 100 years old.

Photos below... Any help would be greatly appreciated:

 

Would you please post a photograph of both backs including frame, Dave? Along with in focus, close-up photographs of any stickers, labels or handwritten notations you find on the back. Helpful for dating.

Have you looked under the kraft paper?

Wasn't sure if it was ok to remove the kraft paper to be honest.
I have pretty much zero knowledge of art/paintings and didn't want to risk damaging something that "may" be valuable.

 

Ok, just poked a torch behind the kraft paper but still unable to see any labels, stickers or markings of any type. Just looks like bare board.

 

Those look like decorative paintings from the early 20th century to my eye. But let's see what others have to say.
