    Hi All,

Can someone help me identify this glass piece with lid? I've found it in an estate clean out. It looks pretty old. The glass is filled with bubbles of all sizes. It's around 4" x 4.5". It's not uniform in shape. It seems quite old but I have no idea how to figure out how old, where it came from, its purpose, etc.

    Any ideas? 20241230_171320.jpg

Handblown but doesn't mean it's terribly old. In what part of the world did you find it.

Thanks. Is there any chance it could be from Sweden or a nearby country? I only ask because they had many things from that region.

If I saw it here, I’d say Spanish recycled glass. Mexican makes sense. That shape is very fifties.

Not very likely. I am in NW Europe, not far from Sweden. We get a lot of Swedish glass here, but my first thought was also Mexican.

The only area other than Spain which really does a lot of this soda type glass is Provence, Biot. Not Scandinavian.
