    Basket1.jpg Basket3.jpg Basket4.jpg Hello All,

Found this nice little basket in my father's collection. Wondering if this is Sterling Silver or Silverplate? Did a lot of research and have not solved the marks.

It has the more modern Edinburgh MacKay & Chisholm Edinburgh label on bottom. But the actual marks start with a makers mark that is reads "EBS LB"? I can't find in books or online. Has the Lion mark but.....Maybe it's not sliver at all? Confused. Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers!

Wow! Okay. So, MacKay & Chisholm must have commissioned it?

Thanks so much for the help. I will make sure this does not go in the Salvation Army bin! :)

If you expect you may find other British items to identify, you might want to familiarize yourself with the details of British silver markings here
