Help identifying maker and bird

    Hi!
    Can anyone help me identify the maker of this ceramic plate? I can't read it--I put cinnamon on it to try to make it clearer, though I'm not sure it helped...

    Also, if anyone can tell me what type of bird is depicted, I would be grateful.

    Do you think it is at all possible that it could be a roadrunner?
    That was what came first to me. But I don't know.

    I really like this plate! All of the Boothbay pottery is very nice!

    @flipper Roadrunner was my first thought too, but then I started thinking maybe it was an egret or something. Interesting that we had the same initial impression!
