    Hi guys
I got an old cigarette case from my dad who said it came from my grandmother back in the 70s. He never bothered to look into it anf she passed away shortly after so we don't know anything about it. I tried searching online but my limited knowledge and patience has me asking people instead of guessing and wasting time.

I've added a few pics, the identifying marks inside are so small they are kinda hard to make out, and I don't see any letters. I see a 17 inside a triangle.

Any info on this is appreciated by me and my old man.

Hi @AndyBlackmore and WELCOME to ANTIQUERS!! Can you give us the overall size of it?? I've only posted an image of the marks.....if you keep each of your images UNDER 1 MB, you can pose each FULL SIZE IN YOUR original post, but that might be a bit more work at this point I believe since you've posted them on Google drive.....I added one more for others to see.....oh what the heck, here's the open case as well!!!!:):)

That should help others when they come along!!! My feeling is that's a much earlier type of cigarette case maybe '40s or 50's.....but DO wait for others to chime in!! @Bakersgma! @i need help! I believe that metal work may be called "engine turning" on it as well....

    Thanks, man!

I will also add that regular cigarettes does not fit in it on the side where the band would hold them. The ones I bought are a bit too long. But longer cigs, 100s, will fit if you put them longways, so to speak. And only 1 layer of cigarettes fits, i.e, not on both sides or it won't close.

Hello, Andy. Nice looking case, but the marks don't mean anything to me. What country did your grandmother live in?

    Bakersgma, hello!
My grandmother was russian, but she lived for awhile in Paris and ended up settling in Stockholm, Sweden, and thats where my dad lives and where she gave it to him. She was born in 1908, and was in Paris in the 30s.

Thanks for the info, Andy. She must have had an interesting life!

Let me see if I can do anything with those countries and the ones around them.

Andy, Do you have a magnifying glass?
If so, see if you see any numbers in the oval with the head, underneath the blue line. B550571F-3E92-4DE0-AF82-CC5508D7A2D4.jpeg
