Bought on ebay as part of a small lot, not much age to it. I thought they might be rubies from the photos but in person they're deep pink so now I'm not sure...the mark on the bail looks like CJ 925 IMG_20210726_134523.jpg IMG_20210726_134530.jpg IMG_20210726_134613.jpg IMG_20210726_134557.jpg IMG_20210726_134720.jpg

They look like rubies to me. Not top quality stones, but who cares, it looks pretty.

Thank you, I've been looking at them for ages thinking 'are they too pink'

'Too pink' is also one of the ruby colours.;)

    I'd agree, little ruby chips.

May be rubies but the only way to be sure is to have them tested :)

    Do they glow?

Think lab grown rubies glow under UV. That's what these could be.

I would expect 10K or 12K gold if they were genuine rubies. Sterling silver would normally house lab grown, IMO, but Hey, I have been wrong before.

At today's prices the stone would cost $5+each,30 years ago they were around $1 each. We don't know when this piece was made....
