Help identifying stool my late grandmother gave me 20 years ago?

My late grandmother gave me this stool 20 years ago. I would like to find out if there are more like it. She split her time between London and Venice most of her life so I suspect it is from one of those places. Here are some pictures (one has my foot in it for size reference)

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    It doesn't look particularly old.

    Very cute, though.

I can't really distinguish the stool from the background.

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Hola, and welcome to the Forums. It gives me a 1980s vibe... colors and legs. Bu the real furniture brainiacs here will likely want to see a picture of the underside and a more clear shot of it on its feet. :)

I can't really tell the difference between the stool and background, either. We need a different background.

It looks like a foot stool, not antique.

Grannies stool conjures up all sorts of images

I love the needlepoint pattern on the "beetle-ish" / "bug-ish" little "platform."

It looks too small to be a "real" footstool. I wonder if it was made as a child's (or maybe even a large doll's) footstool. Either of those possibilities (child or doll) would made it doubly adorable in my book. ;)

I'm guessing that it's a variation on a ladybug. But it looks very very small.

As requested more detailed pictures with a clearly distinguished background! And if this isnt the right place to find answers any suggestions of other places to ask would be greatly appreciated.

    Better Pictures

I`ve cropped and reduced the size of your pics so they can be posted straight here without an outside link.

The wood looks like pitch pine, but not very old.

I think it is what is sometimes called 'shedwork', an item that someone has made from whatever was available to suit their own whimsy.

Looks like something that would have come from a crafts fair.
Did granny have dolls or teddy bears?

I also vote craft item and not all that old. ..... but definitely cute. I doubt you will ever be able to find any specific info on this.

Thanks for trying and the advice on it being a craft piece. The only reason I thought to try here is because my granny was a big collector and I thought maybe this could be from somewhere interesting. Likely just made by a friend of hers as she had many designer friends and it could just be something they put together out of scraps. I appreciate everyone who took the time to reply.
