    Hi all,

Could use your input on this vintage table lighter. Is it silver or silver plate ? . Size is 9w x 8b x 3d in cm or 3.5 x 3 x 1.8 in inches. I'm guessing made in the 1930s-50s period ? . It has no makers mark but it has been stamped which could be silver plate or silver marks. The marks look to me to be a lion followed by a left facing woman's head and the letter P, and beside those are the letters EMR in a oval ring followed by the same letters stamped. These are the best pictures I could take. Hope they are good enough to work with. It is silver, .833 fineness. The fineness used to be used in the Netherlands and some other countries.
Dutch marks, the lion with the 2 between the legs is for .833 silver, the D in the Minerva (woman's) head is for the Rotterdam assay office, the P is the year letter for 1950. So your dating is correct.:)
Are you sure those are the same letters? I see an A and something else? Also a symbol before the A?
The A something is probably the maker's mark, but it is difficult to distinguish it from the textured part.
