Help identifying Taxco makers mark

    I have a taxco 925 silver necklace and ring set that my grandfather gave me.
    The makers mark is hard for me to ID. Looks like it says Antonio Huez but I can’t find an artisan by that name.
    Assistance is very much appreciated!

    Hello, Plumfriend. Could you go back & edit your post to make your photo full size so we can see it more easily? Hit the little word edit under the text box, then choose more options to change the photo setting.

    It’s HDEZ, short for Hernandez.

    I agree, short for Hernández.
    There is a Taxco maker called Victor Hernández, maybe a relative, although it is not an unusual name of course. Victor is one of the many Taxco silversmiths, Antonio could be one of a long list as well.
    Many started out as silversmiths for one of the big names and then set up shop for themselves.

    Could we see the set, please? That could give us an idea of the period or the style.
