    Hello fellow antiquers!

I would really appreciate your help identifying the artist behind this watercolor painting. Possibly British since its subject is Rossall School located in the UK.

I'm seeing "Tom Brina's" ... don't know why there would be an apostrophe, though.

edit: second thought -- the "B"eecham doesn't match with "B"rina... no, more like Porina... but that's not quite it, either.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

I'm seeing similar....'somborina's' and 'The Chapel & Beecham Music School Rossall School'.....but have no clue where that might be.......any clues on the back???? Nice watercolor though!!! And re-reading what Jivvy says has very interesting merit as well!!!!!! Hmmmmmmm.....

@SPERLS No way no way I would have ever read that as "Briggs", but I think you've got it. aasig2.jpg

Clever you. According to the internet, he was a former art teacher at Rossall (which, interestingly, counted Leslie Charteris as an old boy.)

It’s definately Tom Briggs. He was my Art teacher at Rossall School, and lovely lovely man and an extremely talented artist. Can I ask where you bought the painting? I was head girl ar Rossall and I’m after a copy of this painting! Jess x

Hello Jess, thanks for reaching out! It is indeed a beautiful work. This painting was a part of an antique store I acquired earlier this year, and I am currently selling it in my antique store - here is a link to my store Avant Boutique (at Ruby Lane), Tom Briggs' work is listed there in the inventory:
