Hi! I'm new to this so need some help identifying this writing desk that my father who recently passed away gave to me. There is a tag inside the drawer that says it's made by Sligh Furniture company but I'm having a tough time finding something similar with my online searches. Any information you can share would be much appreciated!
    Thanks!

Wondered that as well, a mirror perhaps? If so more likely a dressing table rather than desk. Company history says they specialized in bedroom furniture.

I found my circa 1919 Sligh Four Poster spool bed by searching for old Sligh catalogs. The Grand Rapids Museum has some

I wondered the same thing... it seems pretty high for a dressing table so thought maybe it had shelves/storage cupboard on top that was removed?

Do you by chance have a link for where you found your 1919 Sligh catalog? I can’t find one through the Grand Rapids Museum sight but may not be searching in the correct location?

Sorry. That was at least 15 years ago, when I bought the bed and matching dresser. It took me quite some time to find it. I wish you luck.
