    Hello everyone
This little pendant was amongst my Gran's jewellery.
I have had a good look through the loupe and can't see any marks in the metal. There are also no bubbles in the stone.
Do you think glass or something else? Moonstone?
    Thanks for looking.

Charming little pendant, Tracey, very nice combination of the gold and the stone. It looks like blue chalcedony to me. The gold could be gold plated, difficult to tell.

Moonstone has a flash of colour that changes as you move the stone.

Thanks AJ. The stone definitely flashes and changes colour. It's difficult to photograph. Almost a little bit like an opal but not with the intense colour of an opal. Any thoughts regarding age?

Lovely, in that case it could be a moonstone.

Is the stone translucent or opaque when held up to a light? I agree with most: Moonstone.

I would say opaque. A little bit milky.

You might be right. I've had another look through the loupe but can't work out if its a bubble or some dirt

The stone(?) of your pendent appears to have 2 tiny imperfections (unless they're caused by camera flash) which may suggest its made from a ceramic or a coloured paste perhaps? Opalite, Opalescent and also Opal glass will/should show some transparency and there will also be slight variants of colours subject to different light conditions.

Thank you for your comments. Is there some type of test I could do on the stone?
