    Hi all,

I purchased these second hand yesterday from a private seller. I just love them, the seller had no idea how old they are but listed them as 'vintage'. They are very heavy and are made of solid metal. They are around 28 inches tall I have found 'Made in Spain' stamped into inside of the metal handle. Any info would be appreciated as I would love to know a bit more about them, thanks in advance.

Obviously not in the US so my experience may not translate well to these. Would generally think 60s or later, possibly much later.

Absolutely. Post World War II. Still, old enough to be considered "vintage."

Would you post a photograph of the "Made in Spain" stamp?

Casting irregularities speak to the “quality” of these pieces. I’m guessing the elaborate portions are cast spelter, plated.

Seller jumped the gun a bit on this one. Claims lamps were produced before the successful commercialization of the light bulb and well ahead of the electrification of European and U.S. homes.

Lol! Trying anything to justify the asking price.

Seller on 1stdibs is an idiot. Given Spain's history, these are vanishingly unlikely to be any earlier than the 60s. The style is older, of course.

    Hi,
I agree with OBB. The great majority of these lamps from Spain came to be late 1960s and 1970s.
