Hello, I have a set of China that has been passed down in my family for over 6 generations. While the pattern matches some Gaudy Welsh china, the hand painting is far more detailed than anything I have seen. The colors are also much richer.

The lore for this china is that there are two sets, and the other set is in a museum in England.

Based on my research, I believe the set may be Chamberlain Worcester or a related early 19th-century or late 18th-century English factory. I am hoping someone might have a pattern book and be able to assist me in identifying.

    Description of the Porcelain
    Pattern/Design:

    • Deep cobalt blue ground with rich gilding
    • Chinoiserie scenes painted in reserves/cartouches
    • Central medallion featuring a figure holding a parasol, with a second figure presenting flowers, set in a garden scene with fence and foliage
    • Polychrome palette including pink/puce, green, yellow, and blue
    • Elaborate gold scrollwork surrounding the reserves
    • Scalloped edges on plates
    Marks:

    • Hand-painted pattern number "357" in puce/purple on the base of a few pieces. Maybe one in 6 has the number.
    • No other marks visible on the pieces examined so far
    Quality:

    • The quality is notably finer than typical "Gaudy Welsh" pottery
    • The colors are richer and the detail more refined than similar pieces I have found online
    • The gilding is elaborate and well-preserved

      I have much higher quality photos but this site limits sizes. IMG_4522.jpg IMG_4522 (1).jpg IMG_4522.jpg IMG_4522 (1).jpg
