Help indentifying B.C. 1765 marked clock

    Hello again,

    Got this cutie into my possession, but after hours of googling still can't get any clue of the maker or the age of the clock. The movement and the back panel are marked 1765 B.C, made out of cast brass, emanel painted.

    It is French and dates from about 1870. B C is the maker of the movement or the retailer, there may be another maker's mark under the bell, and the number is the serial number. The pendulum should have a matching number.

    These are usually gilt spelter, the alternative is gilt bronze which has usually got better definition. Scratch under a foot, it may show a silvery colour.
