    Hey everyone,

I recently inherited this wonderful children's chair.

I have fond memories of all the grandchildren and great grandchildren sitting on it everyone boxing day around my grandparents house so I was so happy when it got passed down to me by my mum.

I will never sell it but I am going to give it a clean an a repair but i know nothing about it, not even what its made of.

If anyone knows anything about this style of chair, when it was made, what it's made of, anything, please let me know.

    :) thanks! 20210527_160014.jpg 20210527_160014.jpg

Welcome Alice. It is very sweet, and a sweet story of fond memories.
It is a rattan chair. These were mostly made in Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. The blue paint is not original.
I think it could date to the 1930s, based on old family photographs, but I am no expert on these chairs.
    Maybe @verybrad knows.

It is rattan and an import. I would think more likely post WWII but do not have any direct knowlege about these. What does family history say about age?
