Featured HELP NAME ARTIST OF LARGE B/W PHOTOGRAPH OF DREADLOCK MAN

This is one of 4-5 pieces of art I found at a local thrift store today. I'm trying to figure out the name to see if this is a known artist/photographer
I'm sure the first name is Pete but the last name could be Langer? Fangan?
Anyone know who the photographer is?
Doesn't the subject look like the old funk master (lead singer of Parliament Funkadelic) George Clinton?!

PS - And I bet the title 'MON' refers to a Caribbean slang for "man" - like: "Yeah mon" !

I was wondering if the subject could be Bob Marley, but his profile looks different in the photos I saw in Google Images.

It was sad to see a gazillion photos of Marley, but all of a young man...

That was my thought, but this guy's profile looks different to me.

 

The nose made me think Bob.And the hair of course.

It's this photo of Marley in particular that makes me think it's probably not him. In profile, their foreheads and noses look significantly different to me.

 

No one thinks it's George Clinton?

 

Kind of looks like him but who knows. Could just as well be a non-celebrity.

I think it's none of the above, and definitely not that Dog guy. He doesn't have dreads, just long hair. There's a CONTACT Link at the web site above. You could send this photo and ask Peter Tangen who it is.

The photographer is very, very talented! His movie posters are breathtaking.

 

I agree, none of the above. Bob Marley had a rather delicate frame and face, and George Clinton has a straight nose:

I agree that his work is wonderful.

The man in your photo looks so familiar. One of the Reggae performers. I'll keep thinking about it. On pins and needles that you hear back from the photographer.
