Sorry, accidentally posted 2 pics of base and forgot to add 6inches across. Grey haired day!

Look forward to a Grey Haired life...

I like it, would think it 's either Bohemian or from Staurbridge in GB.

I'd be looking at Ditchfield Glass or Oka as a possibility.

Cyclamen on the side, pinks (dianthus) on the top.

I can see where you are coming from with Ditchfield, but this is an older piece of glass. I am going towards 1910.

I just noticed, the pic of the base shows the wear around the outside, but that is not necessarily a way of telling the age.

I was wondering why you think it's that age. ;)

The metal fittings, the look of it, the style of the decoration. It looks darker in reality.

I was wonering if it was a glass box decorated in one of the workshops that proliferated in France, rather than decorated in the place of origin. I cannot find anything similar so far.

    A) You scored
    B) If it's Loetz, double score and I wouldn't be surprised. That's way too good for Amateur Hour.

Thank you for all your kind words. I bought it quite a while ago in an antique fair in a town called Belleme. Just took one look at it and had to have it. Also bought a Val st Lambert epergne from the same dealer. They both came from the same deceased estate.
