Hello, I've been desperately trying to find any info on this piece of antique furniture. It's been passed down through several generations on my father's side, and he was a skilled craftsman/furniture maker and was quite proud of it. He's deceased now, and although I've looked it both over/under, inside/out, I can't find any identifying marks whatsoever and it's driving me crazy!

The main door panel is clearly hand carved, and it's about 42"×29"×23"..
I'm at a loss as to whether or not to take it to a consignment shop, sell it outright or what, but as it's been in my family so long I'd like to know more before I make a decision. Any info, help, or recommendations would be very much appreciated!!

Would think this European in origin and circa 1875 based on this one photo. Not sure of country. Maybe Italian but also see how it could be from elsewhere. Could be even older but would need to see more/better pics. Have to think this is missing a base or at least some feet.

I'm felling like there is a missing base or feet as well....feet say so much! Mine say "too many hours in retail". Yours might say "hot French chic".

I think there's a base and pediment missing. Does it all come apart in separate sections?

Hmmmm, I wonder if the request for more photos in Post #2 (on May 14) is delaying DumbArdvark's return. ;)
