Featured Help needed please with cameo

    Hi
    I am new to antiquers so please bear with me. I may make a few mistakes ‍♀️.

    I have a cameo that I would love some help with as I know absolutely nothing about them. If I upload some photos (I’ve made them the right size I hope) would someone be able to tell about it ? I think looking at the stamp it was made in Naples but I don’t know when. Also there is something written on the cameo (carved in) and I can’t make it out.
    Thanks - just tell me what to do. Oh and I’ve been told to copy @Bronwen in ?

    Pls post your photos right in this thread. Also, choose the Full Image setting, not the Thumbnail. Thx!

    Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

    Your pictures are fine -- I know this is a 20th-century cameo, and is carved in shell. The word on the front may possibly be a signature of the carver, but may also be something else? I hope that @Bronwen will be dropping by some time soon.
