Help needed with identification of this small wood lidded bowl

    It is about 3 1/2" diameter and 3" tall. Very light weight.
    Strange thought there is no lip or groove for the lid and it slides off?
    I hope someone has seen something like this

    Thinking Beautiful maple Container, but why no lip for the lid??? Don't know!!! Maybe for nice little trinkets?

    I meant to say BURLY Maple, which I DO think it is.....

    Maybe made by an artisan to sell at an arts & crafts fair or gift store?
