    It probably says Ges. Geschutzt
Which is German for Protected, registered.

1970s gypsy inspired West German with semi precious stone chips.

Agree. The complete stamp is 'Ges Gesch', short for Gesetzlich Geschützt, literally 'legally protected'.

The chips could be jade. Germany has nephrite jade, Italy has both nephrite and jadeite jade.
Several Eastern European countries mine jade as well, but I suspect these earrings were made during a time when trade between east and west was limited.

    :playful:
We didn't get Canadian jade here on the Continent. It was either European or Asian jade. The only Canadian jade we get now is through Chinese jewellery, but that is a recent thing.

Forgot to say, the 'Ges Gesch' stamp is probably only for the earhooks, not for the rest.

Ges Gesch. German cousin of Pat Pend, Pat Reg in USA, Marc Deposé in France. Beware: These guys' names are very often mistaken for famous [read valuable] designer signatures by novices to vintage costume jewelry.:smug::arghh::joyful:
