How large is it and what does the back and sides look like? Is it a print mounted on masonite or cardboard? If it is a print (and not a photograph), can you take close ups of various areas so we can see any print pattern that could exist?

It looks like a silkscreen of a photo to me.

It is artillery's equipment, from the looks of it late 1800-early 1900's

Great, thanks guys! Any idea of where in Japan, like what memorial area this would be located in.... by any chance?

Was the postcard ever mailed? Date and place on the postmark might give you ideas about where to look.

Maybe someone out of our many members can read Japanese writing on the card, that might give a location?

@ludovic Could you read the Japanese characters on the postcard above to help identify the location? Thank you!

Do you see what looks like a cannon gun carriage in the background near the building? It makes me wonder if this isn't a military museum of some kind since they have more than one type of weaponry exhibited.

I googled Japan Military Museum and found this - Kudan Military Museum. It seems to have the same fence as yours and the building windows look similar. 1900s-Antique-Real-Photograph-Postcard-Kudan-Japan-Military-Museum.jpg
