I bought this today. It has a small tag on the inside
Reads. Pewter Chocolate pot by Carl Gottlob Noster
    Oschatz? Germany M. 1800-- D.1841
I finally found the touch marks on the inside bottom, of all places.
I blew up individual shots of the marks.
    Thank you in advance.
    Mikey

Is that book available online or is that a photo from hardcopy?

Interesting that the mark says 1708. Something other than a year? Or Noster took over a going concern?

Mikey's mark has what looks like a B where the one in the book has an N.

Mine is just a book that I took a picture of. Not sure I've ever looked to see if it's online.

It's been awhile since I spent much time thinking/studying pewter but it might be the date of the guild.
