    Any ideas of maker? TIA

    Does not strike me as art nouveau. Reminds me more of older Peruvian jewelry and the use of 900 silver would fit with that. Of course, others used 900 silver but it might be a place to start. Similar jewelry came from Mexico as well but would expect it to be marked differently. Such designs are based more in Spanish colonial motifs than indigenous designs.

    From what I've heard, the pin and hinge might suggest 19th C.

    I don't see Art Nouveau, it's too symmetrical, too regular. It has a classic design element look to me, JMHO :)

    That back is certainly late 19th. Long pin and tube hinge. I suspect it's Austrian.
