HELP w/NAME UNDER STERLING ON VINTAGE 2 PIECE BROOCH

    This was one of the pieces of jewelry left to me by my mom. When photographing it I noticed some words on the back of the crown - the first is Sterling but I can't make out the second word; does anyone recognize it or who made this?
    What would you call this?

    I don't know what it says, but I sincerely doubt that it says SOLID.
