I found this a couple of weeks ago & immediately found room for it on my shelf- it is very pretty.
It is also unusual in that it is only 7" tall (statue only) & appears to be made of terra cotta?
But I can't make out the artist's signature - can anyone tell what the artist's name is?
    Thank you!

    It is very nice, journey.
Looks like the name could be Mooy, which is a Dutch name.
There are two Dutch sculptors named Mooy (alternative spelling Mooij), Maarten Mooy and his son Ton Mooy. I can't find their signatures.

This is a wikimedia page with works by Maarten Mooy/Mooij:

This is the website of Ton Mooy, it is in Dutch only:

This is a contact page for Ton Mooy, it is in Dutch. Most Dutch speak English, you could ask him if this is by his father or by him:

This may be completely (pun not originally intended) off base, but my first thought was that it is a replica of one of the many 'Venus' figures from the Upper Paleolithic, & that it may be Museum of... Could just be inspired by. One example:

But what a coincidence. This is by Ceramist Jessie Mooy, titled Venus. :D

    Ah, I see it now.:banghead:
It is confusing when the 2003 is shown as the signature, and Lisa becomes just a scribble on the side..

Paleolithic art as modern art. Everything old is...

I agree with jivvy it doesn't appear to read mooy. I believe it may be a student piece.
