HELP w/SIGNATURE ON COOL, FUNKY PAINTING - SHEET METAL CANVAS & BRASS PIPE FRAME!

    This is 1 of 2 paintings I found at a local thrift store today. It is well done (in my opinion) version of 'The Silent Scream' & even cooler is the canvas is a square of sheet metal & the frame is made of brass pipes!!

    Can anyone make out the artist's name?
    Any thoughts on the painting? (this is definitely not factory art, right?)

    Whether artist is known or unknown - I may keep this one!

    IMHO, the artist did a great job of capturing an emotion, but not so great in the execution.

    Student work. It's ok done but not very well done. Keep it if you like it. Probably wont find the artist.

    I see the "06" date -- do you think it is a 1906 painting?

    If so, my guess is that it is a "portrait" of a woman who has forgotten where she put her "Lydia Pinkham" pills for "female ailments" -- let's wait to see what any others have to say. ;)

    Copper tubing, not brass pipes, and galvanized duct panning. Home Depot stuff.

    You find some neat items, JM. Interesting piece, but the peripheral scarlet red splatters overpower it a bit too much for me; if the artist is still painting, would love to see a version with a subtler shade of red, like salmon.
