Hi, I am just wondering if anyone is able to provide any info on this bell I have recently acquired?

My main areas of concern are:

    a. Is it a modern mass-produced item/ replica? (i.e. not an original off a ship). I assume the rope and wall mount parts are not original so I have not photographed them.
    b. What is the likely era/ age of this?
    c. What ship could it be off?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated — I’m excited to find out more about it!

Let me know if sharper photos in better lighting or photos of closeups are required.

    Thanks IMG_6820.jpeg IMG_6821.jpeg IMG_6823.jpeg

    No treasure here. :bookworm:

... it is a brass bell, so that's not bad.

This is the only like item found, just text, no link.

My guess would be a decorative item. I can see this being hung up in a pub/bar/rec room and someone would ding it for service or call the family to dinner.;)
