Help with “King Prints” London..

Hi all,

I bought a lot of antique prints that seem to derive from “King prints”. Have any Londoners/UK based folks heard of them, or can anyone find any info on them online as I can’t seem to..

I don't know the company, but that does have the look of "book page" to me. Are they all the same size?

 

Thanks I just had another look at them. They all vary. A few of them are coloured prints. Some from Egypt, Morocco, USA, Algeria, other parts Africa. I’ve got about 90 of them. Some could be from the same book I suppose...

 

(Vary in size I meant)

 

My guess is that King is/was a print dealer & that the prints have been removed/salvaged from books & matted.

Thanks guys, I will send a few more examples of some of the prints a bit later.

 

Londoner here. I reckon Bronwen is right, those all look like harvested pages. Given the price, fairly recently done, too.

If you Google the titles on these, I'm betting you'll find most of them pretty quickly.

When I was googling the first one, I stumbled on a J.Barsant and he was involved in a book on Egyptian monuments that had plate after plate that look like some of the ones you posted today.

 

The one with Uncas would be from Last of the Mohicans.
