Featured Help with a cameo

What would one say is a decent price for this 14k cameo?

 

Are you buying or selling? Is stone guaranteed diamond or unknown? A very common type, so no points for rarity.

 

Buying. It’s listed fir $50. Sounds cheap. Am I right?

It's a good price, especially if the stone is really a little diamond, but think you could not multiply your money if you are buying for resale. Looks like frame has been dinged in at several places.

 

I agree. Not something a non-professional could bend back in shape without risking tears and breaks. It would make resale difficult.

 

No just for personal collection. It would be my first 14k gold cameo and I don’t have much money so it’s expected to have dings and bends. Lol.

 

You don't give the size but I think your safe in gold value alone and the cameo looks good. Go!

 

I was going to say the same thing. It could be tiny but if it's a decent size I would think it's a decent buy for gold alone. If you have 1.75g of gold there you break even on the metal content today. If you like it then it seems like a safe buy. Check eBay for sold listings of similar looking cameos set in 14k that are a similar size. I don't know that market well but I would imagine $50 is pretty competitive.
