Help with a necklace

Feels like string though? Any help would be awesome. It feels like string but extremely durable . The beads are a deep reddish purple. What are the beads and the stone?? Era??? Very unique. Think I’ll keep it

    Just guesses since photos don't prove much of anything............ hematite real or man made,glass and serpentine. Modern bead shop type.

    The red beads are glass, so odds are the pendant is too. It wants to be garnet and jade, but I have a hunch it's glass and more glass. It could be artisan or made to look like it.

    Agree. It has that North American nephrite jade look.
