    Search for 'bookchain' or 'book chain' to see others & find out what other sellers represent them as. A nice one. Brass, quite likely not marked.

    Is there a particular reason these chains are called "bookchains"--is it to do with their construction? I'm guessing it's not because they were used to wear a book around one's neck....
