I found this stone(?) - has to be some kind of stone or concrete; i could barely lift if - Buddha at my friend's thrift store today.
It measures 32" tall x 9" wide x 7" deep (there was also a 5' 6" wood carving of a Buddha? holding a baby (they were marked $499 but I had my choice for only $175 and chose the stone one because I thought it would be great garden art & last longer than the wood one.
2 questions I'm hoping someone can help me with - is there a way to tell how old it is?

What is it made of? If stone what kind? (The bottom looks like concrete to me?

Thank you for any help - or thoughts on it?

If it's plaster or resin it's heaviest I've ever lifted - it is 50 - 60 lbs at a minimum! (I had help getting it into car & barely got it out at home , and then used a hand truck to take to house!

A modern cast garden ornament representing Buddha as a monk, standing on a lotus throne. Concrete would be a good bet.
It has no religious significance. The value is the same as any other modern cast garden ornament of this size, minus the damage.

Would this be worth $150? It's about 5 1/2 ft tall & made of wood
(This is the 2nd piece that is at the thrift store & im going back today - worth the price?
    Thanks!
