Hi all. this was among my Moms things. Out of her kitchen junk drawer. It's just shy of 5" long. I'm pretty sure i know what it is for but never seen one that looked this old. I have found others the same but all i find is they say antique but not how old. It is Solid brass and marked Germany.

    Thank you pat,
I saw a lot of them too. I was really looking for the time frame. I'm not going to sell it.

Jagging wheel or pie crimper.........older ones sailors often made of whale bone while at sea for wife or sweetheart....1800's - 1900's....

The wheel is for making the scalloped edge on pie crust. Not sure how the other end works but no doubt also pie/pastry related as others have said.

The pastry wheel thingy is called a "jagging iron". The other end is also for crimping, though. More decorative and pretty-fying, rather than being practical, though.
