Help with Antiques Impressionist price

Hey everyone. Acquired this piece and looks to be on a hand woven canvas. That makes me think it’s from at least the 1800s. Can’t make out the signature. Any help would be greatly appreciated! This price makes me feel good.

Carl Mortensen seems to have been a Danish painter. And I don't think Montgomery is right. I don't see that "g."

According to the company, that would date your frame to the 1940s or 1950s. They're basing this, I suspect, on the 2-digit postal code.

Specifically, 2-digit postal codes were instituted in 1943 and were replaced by 5-digit codes in 1963.

Of course, that assumes the painting and the frame were contemporaneous which they might not be. Photographs of the entire painting both front and back would be helpful.
