Hi all I picked up this piece today and was hoping to ID the mark.
it looks to be antique. not solid silver as i can see spots with maybe brass areas showing. it has been not well taken care of and every piece that is attached has been re-attached with some black glue and poorly. i think i can clean most of it up though. Any and all input is appreciated.

    Mikey.

Update... After a little cleaning I realized the brass color was just some staining. i am thinking maybe a lower grade of silver. More pics after the once over.

The style of your lovely piece is from northwest India or neighbouring Pakistan. This was probably made when the two were still one country, under British rule. The ball feet and shape of the handles show some European (British) influence
The mark would be in Urdu, which uses a modified Arabic script.
If you can still change the title to Anglo-Indian, it would attract the right eyes, although it might not be silver.

Hi Mikey! I'm very glad that it cleaned up well, but I have no clue what to make of that mark. Any Jewelry's thoughts are much better than I could have come up with.

Thanks Susan, It was just a little and needs a lot more, but it is looking nice. i tried testing it but will have to take to my friend for another opinion. Is there any place i can look to find these types of marks? also some Idea on age and what it might have been used for would be nice too Lol.

No never would i ask too much.
I did forget the size though. it is about the size of a sugar bowl. 3 1/2" tall and 4 1/2" wide without the handles.
